In-Store Purchase Return & Refund Policies

  • New & unopened LPs, CDs, and cassettes can be returned for store credit within 30 days of purchase with an original receipt. Without a receipt and/or beyond 30 days of purchase, these items will be accepted less a 20% restocking fee. 

  • New LPs, CDs, and cassettes that have a manufacturer defect can be exchanged for another new title as a replacement, within 30 days and with the original receipt.

  • New electronic equipment such as turntables, speakers, subwoofers, CD players, etc. can be returned for store credit within 30 days of purchase with an original receipt. Without a receipt and/or after 30 days, these items will be accepted less a 20% restocking fee. Opened items in this category that are otherwise perfect and show no signs of use, damage or mistreatment and with all original cables and accessories will be accepted and store credit given less a 20% restocking fee.

  • Used LPs, CDs, and cassettes are NOT RETURNABLE. Please carefully check the media for damage or defect before you leave the store. Indy CD & Vinyl also has listening stations where you can check the playback before you leave.

  • Low-quality and inexpensive record players have a history of being unable to properly track and play some brand-new records, making certain new LPs appear defective. If the LP you have doesn't play properly on your Crosley or Victrola (or similar record player) but plays just fine on our in-house turntable then technically you didn't buy a defective record. We will be happy; however, to apply full in-store credit towards a new turntable of higher quality.

Online Purchase Policies

Stock levels on shop.indycdandvinyl.com do not reflect our retail location. Available items ship directly to your doorstep from our supplier's warehouse. To check our retail stock levels give us a call at 317-259-1012.

  • Inventory Note: Please note we update our inventory a few times per day. Sometimes inventory stock levels and availability will change.

  • Pre-order and limited edition item policy: Orders for limited edition/exclusive releases are processed and fulfilled in the order in which they are received and are subject to inventory limitations. In most cases, we will be able to fulfill your order, but in the event we cannot, you will be fully refunded the amount that was charged at the time of your preorder.

  • Shipping & Delivery policies: We ship packages every weekday, please allow up to a few days for the item to be mailed. As soon as the item is shipped you will receive an email  tracking number. Orders are shipped to the shipping address entered at checkout. Domestic orders are given the opportunity to ship via USPS media mail or USPS First Class Priority Mail. Shipping prices are auto-calculated based on the items purchased and your ZIP code. International customers please note that orders cannot be claimed at a lower value or marked as a gift so please do not ask. Customs duties/taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

  • Refund/return policy: We at Indy CD & Vinyl feel it is vital for making sure our buyers are happy with their transaction from start to finish. We do accept returns; however, the conditions for a return are limited to a) incorrect item received, b) item damaged or c) otherwise not-as-advertised. Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. The item must be in the original packaging. Gift cards are not eligible for returns or refunds. Returns must be initiated within 15 days of receipt of the shipped item(s). Refunds will be given via the method of original payment. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card, Stripe account, PayPal account, or other original method of payment, within a reasonable amount of days.

  • Cancellation policy: Because our systems are automated it is difficult or impossible to initiate a cancellation; however, please refer to the refund/return policy above.

 

DISCOGS POLICIES:

  • Inventory Note: Please note we update our Discogs inventory a few times per day. Sometimes there is a chance an item that sells in our store before we are able to update our Discogs listings.

  • Shipping & Delivery policies: We ship packages every weekday if we have time, so please allow up to a few days for the item to be mailed. As soon as the item is shipped you will receive a tracking number. Orders are shipped to the shipping address associated with your PAYPAL account. Please contact us on the order page if the shipping address is different from the one listed on your PAYPAL account. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable shipping requests so feel free to contact us if you have special instructions. By default, domestic orders ship via USPS media mail. If you would like your package shipped differently please be sure to contact us on the order page when placing your order. International customers please note that orders cannot be claimed at a lower value or marked as a gift so please do not ask. Customs duties/taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your PayPal account within a reasonable amount of days. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange your return for the same item, we are happy to accommodate; however, an exchange is subject to our store having the exact same item in stock at that time.

  • Cancellation policy: You may cancel an order before we ship if needed; otherwise, please refer to the refund/return policy above.
